Hello you.com team,
I’d like to suggest a new feature to enhance your agents: configurable persistent memory with transparent context window usage.
Key Features:
Persistent Memory: Agents automatically save user interactions in a memory file (text or suitable format). Users can configure the size of this memory as a percentage of the agent’s context window.
Context Usage Visualization: Display a progress bar (and/or numeric counter) showing real-time context window usage, clearly indicating how much is used by the persistent memory and attached sources.
User Control: Let users adjust the size of the persistent memory, balancing between recent interactions and new inputs.
Benefits:
Better continuity and coherence in long conversations.
Prevents performance issues by making context limits transparent, helping users avoid overloading the agent.
Simple, cost-effective implementation with high impact for both user experience and agent efficiency.
This feature would make you.com agents much more powerful and user-friendly.
Thank you for considering this idea!
Best regards,
Jordi Riera
