Do not (always) repeat the last search

I find it very annoying for you.com to repeat the last search.
I understand that it can be useful, for example when I go to the home page and search for something, then I click on an app link on the left. In this case it does make sense for the search to be repeated in the new app.
But when I activate a tab that I left open from yesterday, I find it very annoying. It makes starting a chat from scratch very difficult and counter intuitive.
I don't know the solution, so this feature request is more a "get rid of that search that keeps repeating itself" than "add this new feature".
Perhaps a solution could be, at least for the Chat app, to add a "Start new chat button"?
I don't know if this problem is only in the Chat app. That's where I find it most annoying, but I think I noticed it also on other areas that I can't really pinpoint right now.

There’s already a start new chat button. I suggest the solution is just to not load the search query if we do not request it by pressing a button.
Also it should be able to return to the last conversation and just stay there instead of starting a new one automatically
