Compared to where You.com was in the beginning in the early startup stage as traditional search engine, we have now transformed into an AI chatbot basically and this is obviously where the future is heading, making the traditional SERPs and traditional search engine of today as the past as we continue to move forward.
We are right now ahead of our traditional search engine competitors when it comes to replacing traditional search for AI Chat while others still continue to have both traditional and AI chat side by side, and I know that more integration such as maps is coming to our AI, making it increasingly a more complete replacement to traditional search of today.
Having said that, in my opinion it makes A LOT of sense moving forward to rename YouChat (which made sense when we were having it as an additional option/feature beside traditional search back then) to You Assistant, making it a more personal internet assistant for the future of Internet users that completely eliminates the usage of traditional search we have been using so far for decades before the AI revolution.
YouChat makes it sound like it's just a ChatGPT alternative while we are increasingly incorporating more traditional search engine features like maps to our AI. (Heck, I can already ask YouChat to find me news and etc unlike before where we had seperate sections in the traditional SERP for website links, images, news, maps and etc).
